We eventually landed in South Africa, where both our daughters Tatjana and Natascha were born. They were such a blessing growing up and we never had any big trouble with them. They were praying since an early age and we were teaching them faith and the love of the Lord. Both girls excelled in school and in life. Tatjana finished her studies at Cape Town University and majored in English and Drama.
Natascha has a career in the US army and has finished her Masters Degree in international relations.
They both married American husbands, left South Africa and are very happy in USA.
Since the children were small I regularly left South Africa to minister in Europe on short trips. We had had a very difficult time in South Africa as the missions we were involved with in South Africa collapsed fully and our South African leaders fell into sin one by one. This brought devastation and we were often without food and finance due to following this wrong leadership. We went through manipulation and dictatorship. The Lord was preparing us to start leading ourselves and to lean on Him fully. In this time of hardship and total lack I experienced Him in a greater way. The Lord started to bless my faith-trips to Europe and doors opened up all over that Continent as I was praising Him and testifying about His goodness in spite of that what happened to us. Miracle after miracle happened as He opened Doors not anyone could have opened.
I learnt to trust in Him, no matter the circumstances. He gave a greater discernment in dealing with people, so we could hear the Voice of the Lord even better after all we had experienced. In South Africa we faced the horrible times of apartheid and were persecuted for helping the people of color. In our church building in King Williams Town I had opened a school for the analphabetic people and for those, who wanted to learn skills. Over 150 students enrolled. The school ran totally on faith with no salaries, as these people were very poor. Once a year we had an exhibition and many could improve their standards of living by getting jobs in nice homes.
Herbert and I started 7 churches in different nations and regions. He changed and is now a city-councilor in Cape Town, whilst I continue doing the work of the Lord internationally teaching in seminars, conferences and churches.
